Expanite Treatment Center (ETC)

– The straight-forward option for the fastest lead-times in the industry!

For some, using an ETC is a stepping stone towards a license solution, while for the majority of customers, Expanite treatment centers are a well-proven and stable source for surface hardening and heat treatment, whether single-piece handled small series or millions of components treated in bulk. No matter the need and background, the core of an ETC is a modern versatile capacity for surface hardening and heat treatment. When other providers of stainless steel hardening speak about weeks, Expanite counts days - and this is while doing it in the most sustainable way, reducing the use of chemicals and carbon footprint compared with competitive processes.

Expanite has three state-of-the-art ETCs and two partner sites – strategically located in Europe, North America and Asia. Several of our customers are getting the same components processed in multiple locations, taking advantage of our multi-region approach.

The three ETCs include:

      • ETC Hillerød close to Copenhagen, Denmark – where we offer all surface hardening and heat treatment solutions for stainless steel and titanium
      • ETC Frickenhausen close to Stuttgart, Germany – where we offer all surface hardening and heat treatment solutions for stainless steel
      • ETC Twinsburg, close to Cleveland, OH, USA – where we offer all surface hardening and heat treatment solutions for stainless steel

All sites are ISO9001 and ISO14001 certified, and in compliance with IATF 16949 CQI-9.

To service the Chinese market, Expanite has teamed up with Kern-Liebers, Taicang nearby Shanghai, who can offer surface hardening and heat treatment solutions for stainless steel. Finally, Expanite is working with Kitech in Suncheon, South Korea on sampling for the Korea markets.

Totally, more than 15 furnaces are deployed and Expanite process are started daily at each ETC – contrary to many alternatives. More centers are in the planning.
