In the test, performed for Expanite in October 2023 by an independent laboratory, coupons of stainless steel were treated with Expanite surface hardening (SuperExpanite\u00ae) and hereafter exposed to the testing media. Results from the test are expressed in terms of migration levels of various elements into the testing medium, in essence food. Overall aim is to limit migration and stay below the limits expressed in the resolution.\r\n\r\n The details of the test, were as follows:\r\n\r\n \r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n \t<li>Material: AISI316\/1.4404 stainless steel<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Expanite treatment: SuperExpanite20 NC<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Testing medium: 0.5% citric acid<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Temperature: 70 degrees Celsius<\/li>\r\n \r\n \t<li>Duration: 2 hours<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n \r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4\" style=\"color: #256820;\"><em><strong>The test results<\/strong><\/em><\/h2>\r\n Basically, Expanite-treated components passed the migration criteria for all relevant substances.
