Summer is calling
In this edition of Expanite’s Newsletter, we would like share a few updates from across our global operations – all before summer hits many of our markets.
Among others, you can (re-)discover the test results on our ExpanitePureLow-T hardening process, suited for customers and components where tolerances and/or core strength is of outmost importance. You can meet the newest members of the Expanite team, and learn when we will be at the PACK EXPO International show in Chicago, USA.
We also highlight how Expanite continues to strengthen its operations including a new nitrogen supply upgrade at Expanite GmbH in Germany, following the successful setup already implemented in Denmark.
And while summer is approaching, there is one thing that remains unchanged: Expanite stays fully operational throughout the holiday season. So whether you are planning production, managing lead times or preparing for projects after the summer break, our teams are ready to support you.

ExpanitePureLow-T
The ExpanitePureLow-T process offers a strong alternative to conventional diffusion processes and coating technologies such as hard-chrome plating, avoiding common issues like delamination or spallation. Key point, this is done without compromising tight tolerances or core strength of the base material.
ExpanitePureLow-T provides an increase in surface hardness of austenitic AISI316 alloy.
The thermo-chemical conversion of the surface creates a layer of expanded austenite with surface hardness levels exceeding 900HV.
