We are searching for a self-driven, structured, and hands-on person, ideally with technical skills within materials, heat treatment, and processing. You will be part of our R&D / Technology team and report to our CTO located in Hillerød, Denmark.

The position is newly created and can to some extend to be tailored to fit the right candidate.

Your tasks as materials engineer include:

Overall, support Expanite’s organization in relation to customer projects including new business and complaints. Contribute with material and process knowledge.

• • Eventually, travel to customer meetings and to Expanite’s production site
  • Interact directly with customers on technical matters in close coordination with the responsible sales managers
  • Participate in and occasionally lead new customer projects
  • Support the production in troubleshooting related to processes and equipment
  • Assist and ocasionally lead tasks on documentating new and existing Expanite solutions, incl. arranging tests, assess results and make these accessible for the organization

  The ideal candidate has:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering, ideally within material science, surface engineering, or similar
  • Experience with material characterization: optical microscopy and general laboratory work is a strong plus
  • Experience within heat treatment is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and is fluent in Danish and English; additional languages (e.g., German) would be a plus
  • Solid experience with the MS office suite, and generally strong skills within IT
