(Artikel auf English) Expanite has achieved remarkable outcomes through the application of SuperExpanite® hardening on AISI 316/1.4404 stainless steel intended for metallic food contact material. The testing, conducted in line with the Council of Europe Resolution CM/Res(2013)9, specifically targeted scenarios involving repeated food contact. Consequently, Expanite’s surface hardening process has been deemed safe for use in food contact applications. The test results underscore the exceptional performance attained through Expanite’s surface hardening technique. The treated AISI 316 stainless steel showcased outstanding resistance and adherence to the rigorous conditions stipulated in the CM/Res(2013)9 test.
