Welcome to another letter packed with Expanite news
Vacation-time is now over in most regions §tors, and at Expanite we have used the time to not only re-charge batteries but we also found time to prepare for yet another exiting period with new exhibitions, new colleagues and new technologies!
In this newsletter we will re-visit our game-changing technology for surface hardening of titanium; this time with new test data and applications – all combined in a new datasheet format. We will also present this data at some big trade shows where Expanite will be exhibiting: Pack Expo in Chicago, and FoodTech in Herning, Denmark – where we hope to see you! Finally, Expanite is continuing to expand the organization; over the summer period we recruited three new colleagues with very strong skills within sales and operations.

Titanium – all you need to know
Titanium is known for its light weight, high-strength and very good corrosion resistance. However, in some areas titanium is often coming short; due to its softness the material suffers from poor wear and galling resistance. Expanite is changing the game by introducing ExpaniteHard-Ti.
“We tried unsuccessfully with different solutions. Fortunately, someone had heard about Expanite’s surface hardening. The solution passed our test in service where the system remained sealed and tight and in addition the solution was also easy and cost efficient to implement.”, says Per Brandt from MAN Turbo and Diesel.
Expanite basically flew through 2017; we doubled our business compared to 2016, we became the first in our industry to offer surface hardening of stainless steel in Asia, Europe and North America by opening a facility in China, we increased capacity at our German treatment centre, and recruited talented new team members. Each element, a great achievement in itself, but we couldn’t have done this without our most important asset: our customers. And to make sure that we don’t lose sight on serving our customers, Expanite also completed its 4th annual customer satisfaction survey by the end of 2017.
In this edition of our newsletter, you can among other things read about the results from the customer satisfaction survey, learn about our newest partnership with the Swiss group Cendres+Metaux SA, as well as read more on Expanite exhibiting at the upcoming Anuga FoodTec trade fair in Cologne and participating in the WhiteWind project with world-leading companies from the wind power industry Vestas and SKF.
